The Saviour on the Train

November 15, 2015 - Technology

You could almost say I was set upon by a group of fans, the only difference being that they weren’t my fans before I was set upon and afterwards…they were. Very curious indeed. I guess that’s just what happens when you’re a technology superstar without even knowing it.

I was on the way to my course, which is a very important and comprehensive Melbourne web development course that I would recommend for true intellectuals, when I found myself on the train. This happens fairly often, due to the fact that the train is how I get to my course. This was something I very quickly discovered during my time there. I did not have a car, and the buses around here are marginally disappointing, so the train was the most logical choice. Thus, my choice made for the day, the same as it was every other day, I set out to attend my course that would teach me the secrets of web design. However, once I stepped onto the train, after the doors had opened, and sat down, after which the doors had closed, I noticed a fellow passenger in need of technical assistance. She had her phone in her hands, the most logical place to hold one’s phone, given that its shape is perfect for grasping fingers and it was specifically tailored that way, and she was having trouble closing her apps. I have not undertaken an app design course, despite such a thing being available, but I found myself with the expertise needed to help, regardless. You see, being a member of this generation means that I have certain unique skills, and these I intended to use. Thus, I reached out and was rejected.

Ah, if only I’d done an actual app design course! Surely, one such teaching methods concerns tact in helping the helpless. Then, I would not be hampered in my attempts to do good…
