Moving out ends with a carpet clean

March 23, 2016 - carpet cleaning

carpet dry cleaning When I first found out that I had to move I was more than a little bit disappointed. I’d been living in this unit for the past three years and had become cozy and settled in. I managed to make a lot of friends in the area and had gotten to know the place well. The thought of moving to a new area bothered me, and I didn’t want to leave behind everything that I had built for myself here. I used to be a very anti-social person, so now that I have a nice group of friends I enjoy spending time with, I was saddened by the thought of letting that all go. I knew that I had plenty of time to organise my move, so naturally I left it all to the last minute. The carpets had been a problem since before I moved in but I knew if there weren’t clean I could be to blame. Even though I never spilled anything on the carpets they were pretty stained from the previous tenant. Instead of running around looking for places to live, I sat at my unit taking in everything that I was going to miss, even the stained upholstery and the cracked ceiling. The apartment wasn’t your typical palace, but it definitely was mine.

With only a week left at the apartment, one of my friends had offered me a spare room at their house, so I wasn’t completely homeless. I managed to move all of my things to her house, after five car trips back and forth. The last thing I had to arrange was the carpet cleaning. Melbourne has plenty of rental properties but I didn’t want to rush finding a new place. I phoned carpet cleaning company and spoke to a woman on the phone about what they offer. The woman from Melbourne carpet steam cleaning company told me what they were able to clean, which was pretty much everything.  It was a very informative conversation and they sounded like a very professional cleaning company. I booked in for my tile and grout cleaning. Melbourne was a city that I had fallen in love with and I was sad to have to move to the suburbs.  I couldn’t believe I had managed to move in less than a week. Now I just had to find a home of my own.
