So now that Fantasy is coming to an end, it looks like my life is as well.
No, but seriously, like…what IS there without this show? It’s been going for eight years, and every single one of those years has had me barely hanging on, waiting for the new episode. I’d binge-watch every single episode in between seasons. So many forum posts, so many idiots educated on obscure bits of lore that they nonetheless should have known.
And now…one more episode. Silence. Nothing comes next.
I guess I could always complete that home design course. We’re getting up to the module on commercial lighting solutions, which is the one that excited me the most. Truthfully, it’s the only reason I actually got into the course in the first place: to learn about lighting. See, Fantasy has a huge focus on light…which everyone knows, obviously. The whole plot is about the world of Easteros succumbing to a long, hard summer, with the Day Duke over the great magical electric fence gathering an army of Black Skippers to conquer the world with the power of sunshine.
It’s silly, I know, but I started to research lights, lighting, commercial lighting, LED lighting and how it all worked. And eventually, I knew almost as much about lights as I did about Fantasy. I guess I could’ve made a career as a Fantasy expert, but being a commercial lighting consultant just seemed like a more viable career option. I’ll offer my lore opinions for free, happily.
So now I’m about to learn about the ins and outs of Melbourne designer lighting solutions, and how they can really improve the look of a house. That’s the idea, anyway. But without my regular dose of Fantasy…will my passion continue?
