I’m the biggest sucker for looking after my feet – which means regular foot rubs, pedicures, buffing my feet out and making sure they’re soft every day of the week. I feel like feet have a bad reputation, and rightfully so based on how poorly people look after their own. Don’t they know that making sure you don’t have dirty gremlin feet is one of the best things you can do to make yourself look better? Because of people who refuse to look after themselves, it makes those of us who do look so much more attractive.
I spoke to my local podiatrist close to Cheltenham about the health of people’s feet in the community, and she said that my feet are by far the best looked after. She said a lot of people have decent feet, but there are a few people out there that have never thought about their feet in their lives. Apparently, it’s quite obvious too. Apparently, a lot of people don’t wash their feet or clean under their toenails. Get this, some people don’t even cut their toenails… I feel physically sick at the thought of that.
My foot specialist is super professional and wouldn’t go into any specifics about clients or their feet. I respected that, although I hope my foot specialist does mention how nice my feet are as the benchmark to other clients. I don’t know if that’s something she would do though.
I started doing some research by myself after our conversation on common nail fungal infections and how I can avoid them. It was truly disgusting what I read and saw. I can’t believe that some people can let their feet get like that. Like, I suppose I understand not getting a weekly pedicure, but to just let fungi spread all over their toes is an insult to the good people out there trying to make our feet better.
